# Buffer

Buffer schedules and publishes posts to your social channels. Once you connect it, Marketing can read what is queued, which posts did best, and the ideas you saved, plan the next posts from them, and put each post you approve in the queue or at a set time.

## What assistants can do

Buffer connects through the tool's own hosted connector.

Queueing and scheduling are offered to Marketing when it works on a task you gave it on stellarfirm.ai. The Approve shows everything the post sends: the channel, when it goes out, every photo or video address, and the whole text. You give the final go.

## Setup (when it opens)

1. In Buffer, open **Settings**, then **API**, and create a new key. Copy it.
2. Open [Integrations](https://stellarfirm.ai/app/integrations) in StellarFirm and pick Buffer.
3. Paste the key, switch on the live option, and press Connect.

## Permissions

- Every post waits for your Approve. There is no setting that skips it.
- Posting on social media starts switched off for every company. Change that rule in Settings so each post asks for your Approve instead.
- The key covers your whole Buffer account: every organization and channel.
- Revoke the key in Buffer whenever you want to cut access.
